Open Grid / Grating floors
In some cases open grid / grating is used for the decking of the mezzanine floors. The grating is available in various dimensions, according to the uniformly load capacity required, the point load and the span of the secondary beams.
Mezzanine Flooring Combined with Pallet Racking
Mezzanine floors can be connected onto standard pallet racking frames using specially designed connectors. Pallet racking combined with mezzanine flooring is often supplied for picking floors or to support in- and outfeed conveyors for automated racking systems.

Up and Over Safety Pallet Gates
The Allied-Storage pallet gate can be used on multi-tier mezzanine floors as the arms do not protrude over the platform edge when in either the open or closed positions. The standard pallet gates will accommodate pallet heights of 1800mm – 2400mm with a pallet depth of 1450mm and 2600mm high with a pallet depth of 1650mm. The outer width varies between 1600mm – 5000mm.
This pallet gate can also be modified to accommodate lower and higher pallets and also deeper pallets. The main advantage with this pallet gate is that only 300mm need to be allowed above the maximum pallet height required.
