Client Information: HMV is a leading specialist retailer of music, film, games and technology products, with over 120 stores around the UK, offering a wide selection of new release and catalogue titles.
Project Information: The centrepiece of this project was the design and installation of a two tier shelving system with a load bearing capacity of 500kg per square metre. It stands six metres high, overall, with 2,000 individual shelf locations. Mesh backs allow for extra light, each shelf has a width of 1300mm and a bay load of 2,000kg UDL with solid steel frames throughout. Finally, there are integrated stairs and project specific up and over safety gates to all levels.
